Severe Tooth Pain

If you are experiencing a sharp (acute) pain that radiates through the tooth or the jaw, you are more than likely experiencing a toothache. A toothache can only be diagnosed with proper examination and radiographs. Please contact us immediately at (856) 956-3625 for an evaluation.

Gum Soreness and Bleeding

Gum soreness and bleeding can due to a variety of reasons. An infection of the gums due to food being stuck in the gum pockets such as piece of popcorn, can cause a lot of damage. Other factors that can attribute to bleeding, swelling and bad breath include dead or diseased teeth, food impaction, decay, improper at home care, medication induced soreness, smoking and tobacco use. In the meantime:

  • Maintain good hygiene, flossing, brushing twice a day for 2 minutes.
  • If you have eaten popcorn or nuts, try flossing the area to dislodge any food pieces and rinse with warm salt water.
  • Remove any piercings that are in the area of the trauma.
  • Make a mental note of when and what triggers the pain.
  • Seek Dental Help

Please contact us at (856) 956-3625 to schedule an evaluation.

Cracked or Broken Dentures

If you child is below the age of 5-6, more than likely the tooth is a primary (baby) tooth. Current guidelines do not indicate the need for re-implantation of primary (baby) teeth.

Knocked out Tooth

For any major injury, please call 911. You and/or child should be assessed thoroughly for any signs of concussions or other potential internal injuries.

If patient is stable and safe. The important thing to remember is time is of the essence.

The best thing you can do is IMMEDIATELY RE-IMPLANT the tooth. Pick the tooth up by the crown, orient the tooth to match your other teeth and place firmly back into the socket site. This is the single best thing you can do.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, it is important that you immediately place the knocked out tooth in COLD MILK and seek the nearest closest dentist to re-implant your tooth. Research shows that survivability of the tooth diminishes after the first hour of being knocked out.

Please contact us immediately at (856) 956-3625 and we can assist you.
