Over half of Americans have gum or periodontal disease. There are several approaches for treatment but the best is prevention. If you have bad breath, bleeding from your gums when you brush chances are you have gum disease. Don’t worry we can help you. Treatments such as a deep cleaning, more regular cleaning and better home care can help maintain those pearly white. New technologies such as the use of Lasers and targeted chemotherapeutics have made treatment of this condition more predictable and comfortable.

Cavities

Cavities can be deceiving. Sometimes you can tell if you have one, but without proper exploration and radiographs it’s hard to tell. Dr. Sheth can take care of it. He will remove the diseased tissue; place a white filling and blend it to make it look natural.

We use the latest technology in white fillings.

Extractions

Teeth need to be extracted for a variety of reasons from a toothache to fracture, or simply not enough space. Dr. Sheth will make sure you’re extremely numb before he removes the tooth. Prior to extracting any tooth we will also discuss all your available options for replacement and discuss what may be the best choice for you.

Wisdom teeth (3rd molars) need to evaluated for cleanliness, cavities and space in the arch. Usually, wisdom teeth need to be removed as their eruption impacts the teeth and tissues in front of them. Typically, wisdom teeth are extracted before the Age of 25 as risk of complications increases over time.

Root Canals

Root canals are necessary when nerve of the tooth is injured by a deep cavity or trauma to the tooth. This procedure involves getting the tooth numb and removing the nerve of the tooth and any diseased tooth structure. The tooth is then filled and a crown is placed to protect the tooth from fracturing.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns or caps are used to cover the part of the tooth above the gum. They can be made of a variety of materials such as porcelain, gold or a combination. Crowns are typically used to protect teeth from fracture, protect root canal treated teeth, or improve the appearance of the tooth.

If a crown/cap has come loose or you feel as though it is coming loose. Bring in all the pieces you have as we may be able to re-cement or fix it. Typically, crowns come loose as the tooth underneath becomes weakened or decayed.

If you feel like you have either swallowed or inhaled the crown, please seek medical attention as inhaled objects can potentially be life threatening.

Please contact us at (856) 956-3625.

Bridges are simply crowns fused together to help replace single or multiple missing teeth. We use the teeth either side of the missing tooth as anchors to “bridge” the space. Bridges can excellent alternative for patients who are not candidates for dental implants.
